When you first start off with your business online you only need to start with a basic e-commerce design and then it can be customized as your business grows.

Many hosting companies have a lot of wonderful tools that come along with hosting sites and you should take advantage of all the different things that they offer you to be able to build your website because these can be quite helpful for those who absolutely no knowledge of how to build a website. The homepage of your website will need to clearly explain the type of products that you are selling or the types of services that you are offering. Make sure to use appropriate graphics and photos that relate to your products or services and ones that will keep the interest of the visitors of your website.

You should create a catalog of all your different products and make sure to include good photos along with complete and understandable descriptions along with all your most current prices. Also make sure that you anticipate any or all questions customers might have about your products. You will want to make the ordering process of your products nice and easy for the customer and make sure to have a shopping cart available and one that includes shipping methods and charges for each method. You should be able to also have the site set up to where customers can track their orders.

It is also important that you create a terms page, returns policy and any guarantees you might offer for certain products.

If you happen to also have a store that is offline then you will want to include the a map of how to get to you get to your offline store if customers would rather shop that way.
