You should also take money that you may have used for gambling and set up an emergency fund that you can use for any kind of emergencies that might pop up. You can also use the money to help pay off your debts quicker.

Remember, get help for the addiction as soon as you can. This is going to be the only way that you can ensure that you will learn to stop gambling permanently in order for you to find a way to rise above the debt. If you refuse to stop the gambling you may never get out of debt and could ruin your financial security for many years to come.

Final Note: You need to be patient, your debts are not going to go away overnight. As you gradually learn to stop gambling, learn to stay on your budget and put the gambling money towards your debt, you will eventually begin to see the light and the debt will eventually disappear.
